EMILY OPPENHEIM
Over her fifteen-year career, Canadian-born architect Emily Oppenheim offers a unique vision that marries her American and European architectural education and training. Her work imbues spaces with a formal understanding of classical proportion, craftsmanship and a utilitarian expression of early modern design.
Emily received her Masters of Architecture from Columbia University in New York City and Paris, where her formal interest in architectural history was established. The work of Henri Labrouste and Peter Zumthor informed her interest in materiality, expression and composition. Her work attunes itself to the character of each site, achieving interiors that feel warm, balanced and inviting.
Emily has worked on projects across commercial and residential sectors in the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe. Her work has been published in GQ, Michelin Guide, Vogue and Architectural Digest. She has worked alongside internationally acclaimed architects and designers including AD100 designer Steven Volpe and former chief design officer at Apple, Jony Ive.
